Lawyer of the Milan Bar. He graduated with a thesis in legal informatics and pursued postgraduate studies on digital identity. Since 2005, he has been a collaborator of the Chairs of Legal Informatics and Advanced Legal Informatics at the Faculty of Law of the University of Milan.
His primary focus is on the criminal law of new technologies, particularly concerning cybercrimes, cybersecurity, data protection, web and brand reputation, and the liability of individuals and companies online.
He is a certified lead auditor for ISO/IEC 27001:2014 information security management systems and serves as DPO, Compliance Officer, and manager of relations with judicial authorities for several Italian and foreign web companies, mainly Internet Service Providers and Virtual Asset Service Providers.
He has developed deep expertise in the area of law applied to blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies, fields in which he has authored international publications and coordinated and spoken at academic events and specialized training courses. He assists several Italian and foreign startups active in the fintech and crypto-assets sector, particularly regarding privacy compliance and KYC/AML issues.
A member of the Criminal Chamber of Milan, he is a fellow of the Italian Chapter of the Cloud Security Alliance. He writes online about law and new technologies.
