Stefano Capaccioli, a chartered accountant since 1995 and legal auditor since 1997, is also a journalist with specific expertise in the field of precious metals, gold, bitcoin, crypto assets, cryptocurrencies, tokens, decentralized finance, smart contracts, decentralized applications, and non-fungible tokens.

Graduating with honors in Economics and Commerce in Florence, he has been practicing since 1997 in Arezzo (AR), serving as a technical consultant at the Court of Arezzo and the Business Court of Florence, assisting individuals and companies in tax, administrative, strategic, and financial matters.

The author of “Criptovalute e bitcoin: un’analisi giuridica” (Giuffré, 2015) and editor of “Criptoattività, criptovalute e bitcoin” (Giuffré, 2021), he was among the first to interpret the cryptocurrency and bitcoin phenomenon from a legal perspective, publishing numerous essays and articles in leading national and international journals.

He was among the 30 experts selected by the Ministry of Economic Development to support the development of the Italian Strategy on technologies based on shared registers and Blockchain.

For several years, he has collaborated with the Chair of Legal Informatics and Advanced Legal Informatics at the Faculty of Law of the University of Milan and is an affiliated scholar at the Coordinated Research Center in Information Society Law (ISLC) of the University of Milan, as well as a lecturer in numerous Masters programs.
