Adopting AI in a law firm involves professional ethics, professional secrecy, and the protection of clients’ data. We manage it as a system, not as a software purchase.

AI Act — Regulation (EU) 2024/1689. Of particular relevance are the AI literacy obligations (Art. 4) and the classification of AI tools used within the firm.

Law 132/2025 — Italy’s first law on AI. Establishes principles for responsible and transparent use, also relevant to the liberal professions.

Professional secrecy and professional conduct. The Italian Code of Conduct for Lawyers requires that the use of AI tools does not compromise the confidentiality owed to clients.

GDPR — Regulation (EU) 2016/679. Governs the processing of client data in AI-assisted systems.
