He obtained a Law degree from the University of Pisa with a thesis in criminal law titled “The new online frontiers of terrorism: an overview of substantive and procedural measures to counter cyber terrorism” and subsequently attended, at the same University, the second level Master’s program in Internet Ecosystem: governance and rights.
Thus, he was able to combine his passion for computing with law, developing an interest in privacy, personal data protection, and artificial intelligence, which he focused on in his subsequent educational path. Meanwhile, he began practicing as a lawyer in the criminal field, also providing consultancy and support to public and private entities in the field of new technologies and personal data protection.
He serves as a Data Protection Officer for Public Administrations and Hospital Companies, specializing in the healthcare sector and scientific research. He is the author of several articles and annually lectures at the University of Pisa, also participating as a speaker at conferences in his areas of expertise.
